If you find that the excavator does not move after starting the engine after going through all kinds of hardships, it only means that you are an unlucky excavator driver. This symptom is like a lack of oil in the torque converter of a bulldozer. No matter how much you increase the throttle, the excavator does not move at all. If hydraulic problems are excluded, in principle, there are two reasons for this phenomenon. The first is the engine. The rubber block connecting to the hydraulic pump broke, causing the rotation of the engine spindle to be unable to be transmitted to the hydraulic pump. However, I think the probability of such a horrible thing happening is extremely low. If the symptom of no action occurs, it may be caused by another reason, that is, your hydraulic main switch has failed. The hydraulic main switch of the excavator usually has two designs, one is directly controlled by the hydraulic component, and the other is It is controlled by electronic components. Most of them are controlled by electronic components now, but they are also more likely to malfunction and fail.

There are also some less common situations. For example, when you are driving an excavator and walking in the mud, suddenly there is a roaring sound from the hydraulic pump. If this happens, it is recommended that you turn off the engine immediately. Because you are very likely to encounter the most unlucky situation in the history of excavator driving, that is, the traveling oil pipe bursts in the mud, and all the hydraulic oil leaks into the traveling support. This is a very troublesome thing, but fortunately I drive my own excavator and don’t have to listen to the boss’s roaring complaints. But the price I paid was: a suit of clothes including shoes, one day, and ten 18-liter barrels of hydraulic oil.

There is also a very scary and dangerous situation that few people must have encountered, unless you are as unlucky as me, that is, the excavator cannot stop. As we all know, the operating handle of the excavator is one in each direction. When the handle is in the middle position, the excavator will stop moving. But if the handle is in the middle position, the excavator continues to move. Can you imagine how terrifying this is? And why does this happen?

The reason why I encountered this situation is that a large amount of iron powder appeared in the hydraulic oil of the entire hydraulic system, causing the pilot switch (commonly known as the bullet) to get stuck, or the small filter at the pilot switch was blocked. A large amount of iron powder in the hydraulic oil is transmitted from the traveling speed reducer to the hydraulic system.

There are also various “mechanical cold” symptoms, such as high engine water temperature, machine weakness, and bubbles coming out of the auxiliary water tank. That means the cylinder mattress is flushed. This is a small problem, but if it is not dealt with, big trouble will occur soon. . Therefore, we also need to observe more when we are working, and prescribe the right medicine according to various symptoms.
