1. The load-type hydraulic system on the Volvo G740 grader realizes the flow balance of all grade functions through a special spool in the main valve. At any working speed, the system can control the knife plate in place smoothly, quickly and precisely. The all-wheel drive system of the motor grader has a crawl mode, which only uses hydraulic power to drive the front wheels to travel, further improving the working accuracy. This mode is especially suitable for fine leveling operations, because the tandem rear wheels only roll without power and will not damage the ground that has just been leveled.

2. Certified by ROPS/FOPS, the cab of G740 motor grader is spacious, with 360-degree all-round view and ergonomic control device layout, so that the operator can “under control”. The clean and comfortable cab environment, effective cab sound insulation measures and air-conditioning system help relieve operator fatigue and improve operating accuracy and work efficiency.

The direction of travel of the motor grader is controlled by a steering wheel with high control precision. Of course, the operator can also use the optional proportional control joystick to further simplify operation. To enhance safety and controllability, steering wheel operation always takes precedence over the joystick system, allowing the operator to make instant directional corrections. The joystick system also provides an Articulation Steering “Park in Neutral Function” which can be activated if necessary to return the motor grader’s steering articulation exactly to the neutral position via a sensor.

3. G740 motor grader is equipped with the latest D8 engine and the most advanced transmission in the industry. The 11-speed transmission provides more work and travel gears, giving the operator the flexibility to select the gear with the best fuel efficiency based on actual operating conditions. This transmission has been re-optimized to enhance cooling capacity while also having an automatic calibration function for smooth and efficient shifting and increased work efficiency. Simply move the gear lever back and forth to shift in the preset unlimited shuttle mode setting, and you can quickly switch between any forward gear and reverse gear without depressing the brake pedal or fine-tuning the pedal.  The V-ECU system will automatically switch the transmission to neutral to prevent the engine from stalling.

4. In order to maximize the utilization rate of equipment, the design of G740 motor grader fully considers the convenience and speed of maintenance. The daily inspection and maintenance of parts does not require any tools. The oil level can be checked both visually and through the cab gauges; the maintenance of the cab air filter can be done on the ground outside the vehicle; the inspection ports of all other components can be opened with the same engine start key. Some parts are maintenance-free, such as the temperature-controlled fan of important parts, and the cooling unit can be self-cleaned by reversing.
