Causes of fuel consumption are: sensor or switch signal error, excessive fuel pressure or injector failure, ignition system failure, engine mechanical component failure.

1)Determine whether the fault is indeed a large fuel consumption caused by engine failure. Driver’s poor driving habits, tire pressure is too low, the vehicle load is too large, brake drag, driveline slippage, automatic transmission can not be upgraded to high gear, torque converter without locking, etc. will lead to excessive fuel consumption.

2)Check whether the engine is still obvious fault phenomena, such as black smoke, lack of power, poor acceleration. Any faults that cause insufficient power, too thick a mixture, and too low a coolant temperature will lead to excessive engine fuel consumption.
